The only reason I mention petit déjeuner is that the basement room in which I enjoyed my 12 Euro croissant and coffee has cool stone walls. This is the vantage point from which I viewed the room. When I arrived, at 10:10 a.m., immediately upon waking, there were people in it. Naturally, I placed myself, back to the wall, as far away as possible from anyone else. That must mean something. Probably not something good.
