These double windows are so pretty.  The building was supposedly owned by the duc de Rohan.  I think I read that his horsemen lived in it.  The duc, known to posterity as the man who was fooled in the elaborate Diamond Necklace Affair that was to cause Marie Antoinette so much trouble, was of one of the richest, most powerful families in 18th Century Paris and lived, I believe, in the Marais district.  I think I'll stroll over to the Marais tomorrow.  Because I can.
