Five years ago

Posted by PicasaIt was fitting that our precious friend, Courtney, (far left, at a castle in the Loire Valley, five years ago, with another friend and Micah) joined us for a weekend in Paris, as we'd originally met her on a school trip to France in 2005. Coming from Florence, where she was studying, turned out to be a huge hassle for her - lost luggage, virtually closed airport, no taxis available. She finally straggled in to our hotel at 5:30 in the morning, four hours after we'd expected her. Courtney has all kinds of endearing quirks that make separation from her luggage a very big deal. I don't know if she'd like me to broadcast them, but here's an example: She had her mother mail enough towels to her, in Italy, that she wouldn't have to use the same one twice. She was to be there a month.  Courtney has her dearly held rituals. She's probably not someone that likes to camp.
