Jessica and one of Barbara (Beatty) Barnes' children

Ralph and Doris Beatty have been friends of my parents for over sixty years. The Beattys live in DC. Their three children, Barbara, Karen and Ralph are roughly the ages of my older brothers. The previously posted picture of Mary, Michael and I, looking all pitiful, was taken on their lawn. We loved seeing Dr. and Mrs. Beatty (and other family members, including the parents of the grandaughter pictured here in the red dress, with Jessica, in a shot taken in 1980 at Thanksgiving in my parent's DC apt.) at Mom's funeral. These old friends were so important to Mom and are so important to our family history. Doris was one of her closest friends and Mom always told me how brilliant, kind and well-read Dr. Beatty is.
