Summer 2010 - the pigeon loft, then hen house, and sometime aviary
Did the 18th Century French Court use homing pigeons to deliver messages? My brother, Jerry, says "Absolutely" and he ought to know. He raises and races carrier pigeons when he's not fighting injustice and "the system" in his law practice.
Jerry sent me an interesting article about a WWII carrier pigeon with it's message attached to its leg that was recently found in a chimney in England:
