Every year I spend all this time planning menus, looking up recipes, buying ingredients, only to never quite get it together enough to follow through by actually cooking. So, in January, I end up throwing away a bunch of food, deep in self-hatred mode. But, THIS YEAR, because of my new, inspirational, organized kitchen (just LOOK at this pull-out baking cabinet!), I even cooked and decorated delicious cut-out sugar cookies. Unfortunately, I ate almost all of them myself. I was so excited, though, that Erin brought Parker and Hudson over, and our friend, Dana, came to see us and I was able to persuade them to have cookies.
