Making cranberry bread

This sifter still has the price tag from Rose's dime store in Virginia Beach which was owned by Bill Vaughan's family. Bill Vaughan is married to Polly Carver, Winship's sister and Jake and Edward's aunt. The price tag says $1.07 and has probably been attached for 40 years. I only reinforced it with tape about a year ago - it was hanging on by just a smidgeon of adhesive. Mom told me, while she was in the hospital, that the kitchen chairs that go with the beloved round kitchen table, also came from Rose's. I think the store has been closed for many years, presumably replaced by Walmart or something. That area of Virginia Beach is almost unrecognizable to me now. Remember Kiddie Time, on Saturday mornings, at the Princess Theatre?
